Our six stylish dining rooms where guests can sit in peaceful surroundings and enjoy our superb Alpine cuisine also form an integral part of the Sonnenalp dining facilities. Our six course gourmet menus make everyday a special occasion: essence of local game and venison with red cabbage dumplings, pink roasted veal fillet with a pumpkin sauce or a medley of Norwegian salmon and crayfish. Our evening restaurant menus focus on regional specialities with an international accent whilst our tavern offers an evening buffet of dishes from all over the globe.

The interior design of our design facilities also draws heavily on the local surroundings: with each private dining room know as a "stube" which is the equivalent of an English "snug" the Alte Stube, Sonnenstube, Jägerstube, Ludwigsstube and the Wirtsstube have all been stylishly decorated using original Allgäu antiques that have carefully collected over decades by "Seniorchefin" Gretl Fäßler. Natural materials such as indigenous woods, velvety deer leather or cosy wool combine with hand-crafted furniture by artisans from the Allgäu to complement some carefully placed design accents. "Its unique charm lies in the natural mix", says "Juniorchefin" Anna-Maria Fäßler. She loves natural fibres and likes to be hands on in the selection of the cottons and linens which she loves to combine with cushions made of deer’s leather or wool. She describes this new Alpine design trend "Alpine style is when a traditional lifestyle meets our modern-day zeitgeist".
